One of the challenges that the Clinton campaign faced was distancing itself from established power circles. She has raised the most money from wall street banks, corporations and media. Her campaign stressed that they were “just given” these donations and in no way made any promises in their favor.
Now being accused of playing politics in the DNC, the Clinton campaign was quick to make a move. They urged public debate of delegation votes before the general campaign starts.
“We want voters to feel like their voice is being heard. In the current election, 400 super-delegates in the Democratic National Committee supported me before anybody else said they were running. I understand how some people could see that as a rigged system. What we need to do is televise the entire process. People would feel more comfortable if they became familiar with the system even though they wouldn't have any direct input until the primaries,” said Hillary.
